BEIJING, Oct. 22 -- "Australia has infringed upon and provoked China, yet slandered China's defense actions as 'unsafe' and 'unprofessional'. Such fallacies are utterly unacceptable anywhere," said Senior Colonel Jiang Bin, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense (MND), in a statement on Wednesday. 

The spokesperson made the above remarks when responding to a recent statement of the Australian Government Department of Defence, which claimed that the Chinese PLA Air Force aircraft conducted "unsafe, unprofessional maneuver" and released flares to the RAAF P-8A aircraft patrolling the South China Sea on October 19, and this has "posed a risk" to the aircraft and its personnel.

記者：澳大利亞國防部近日發(fā)布聲明稱，10月19日澳軍P-8A巡邏機(jī)在南海巡邏時(shí)，中方軍機(jī)對其采取“不安全和不專業(yè)互動(dòng)”，施放干擾彈，對澳飛機(jī)和人員“構(gòu)成危險(xiǎn)”。請問中方對此有何評論？

"The Australia's statement is a blatant distortion of facts. It falsely accused China, attempting to cover up the vile act of its military aircraft illegally intruding into China's airspace. We are strongly dissatisfied with this and have lodged stern representations with the Australian side," slammed Spokesperson Jiang.

蔣斌：澳方有關(guān)聲明顛倒黑白，對中方倒打一耙，妄圖掩蓋其軍機(jī)非法侵闖中國領(lǐng)空的惡劣行徑，我們對此強(qiáng)烈不滿，已向澳方提出嚴(yán)正交涉。

It should be emphasized that the Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command organized its troops to firmly intercept and expel the Australian military aircraft that violated the airspace of China's Xisha, and the relevant actions were legitimate, professional and restrained, the spokesperson continued, adding that "Australia has infringed upon and provoked China, yet slandered China's defense actions as 'unsafe' and 'unprofessional'. Such fallacies are utterly unacceptable anywhere." 

The spokesperson urged the Australian side to immediately cease its infringement, provocation and incitement, strictly restrain the actions of its frontline maritime and aerial forces, and avoid undermining the relations between China and Australia and their militaries. "The Chinese military will continue to take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and security, and firmly uphold regional peace and stability," he stressed.

需要強(qiáng)調(diào)的是，中國人民解放軍南部戰(zhàn)區(qū)組織兵力對侵闖中國西沙領(lǐng)空的澳軍機(jī)堅(jiān)決攔阻驅(qū)離，相關(guān)行動(dòng)正當(dāng)合法、專業(yè)克制。澳方對中方侵權(quán)挑釁，卻反誣中方維權(quán)行動(dòng)“不安全”“不專業(yè)”，這樣的歪理謬論在哪兒都說不通。我們敦促澳方立即停止侵權(quán)挑釁和煽宣炒作，嚴(yán)格約束一線海空兵力行動(dòng)，避免破壞中澳兩國兩軍關(guān)系。中國軍隊(duì)將繼續(xù)采取必要措施，堅(jiān)決捍衛(wèi)國家主權(quán)安全，堅(jiān)定維護(hù)地區(qū)和平穩(wěn)定。
